Thishakya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Girne American University and currently works as a Hotline Counselor and Coordinator, providing counselling services to adults. She also contributes her expertise as a Special Needs Therapist at Ceylon Steps.
Prior to her role at our center, Thishakya gained experience as a Research Psychologist and completed an internship in addictions counselling. In addition to her psychology qualifications, she holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Salford. Over the years, she has also worked in various roles, including swim coach, bartender, waitress, sales specialist and quantity surveyor, broadening her understanding of human behavior in diverse settings.
With this wealth of experience, Thishakya adopts a holistic approach in her work, drawing on her multidisciplinary background to provide comprehensive support. This enables her to tailor her services to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring effective and personalized care.
